Sourovi leads our Cross-Cutting team and is a member of the Education team. She also serves on the Board as a non-executive director.
She uses quantitative methods to carry out impact and cost evaluations of social policies and programmes. She has worked extensively in Nigeria in areas such as school quality, teacher development, maternal and child health, and water and sanitation.
She has worked with us on impact evaluations of cash transfer programmes in Pakistan, Indonesia, Somalia and Malawi, and health facility surveys in Tanzania, and Nigeria.
Sourovi is currently managing a one-year research project on early childhood development, and a four-year mixed-methods evaluation of DFID-Nigeria’s Teacher Development Programme.
Sourovi holds a BA in Economics from the University of Delhi, and an MSc in Development Economics from the University of Oxford.
