Low Carbon Development Initiative
We promote low-carbon development pathways to enable the Government of Indonesia to meet its emissions reduction targets through improved planning, policy, and financing.
Verena Puspawardani (Ve) is the Stakeholder Engagement Lead, working closely with the team to encourage and support national and provincial governments in achieving the highest ambitions outlined in Indonesia’s Low Carbon Development Initiative (LCDI) programme. A passionate advocate for public campaigns and mobilisation on climate and energy issues, Ve has led initiatives across civil society organizations and government agencies, including the REDD+ Management Agency, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, and MRT Jakarta. Her expertise lies in policy advocacy, public campaigns, and strategic partnerships. As Programme Director at Coaction Indonesia, she led research, advocacy efforts, and the #GoGreenJobs campaign, promoting workforce issues in the energy transition and green jobs.
