Nyda Mukhtar
Nyda Mukhtar is a fiscal economist specializing in public financial management (PFM) with significant experience across Africa and South Asia. Currently, she serves as a Senior Consultant at Oxford Policy Management in Islamabad, managing Public Expenditure Reviews for UNICEF and conducting budget analyses for various sectors, including the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) sector for Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa sectors.
In her role as an economist at the World Bank, she focused on macro-fiscal and debt analysis, supporting economic reforms. She also worked as a Budget Advisor at the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning in Liberia under the Overseas Development Institute, assisting with budget implementation and Medium-Term Expenditure Framework reforms, and supporting sectors in preparing their budgets and cash plans. Nyda holds a Master of Arts in Economics from Duke University, USA and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Mathematics from Washington University in St. Louis, USA.
