Social Protection Digitisation and Innovation
Digital transformation, the integration of data and technology, and data-driven innovation are pivotal to the future of social protection.
At Oxford Policy Management, we leverage technology and data science to transform social protection systems and amplify social protection outcomes. Our approach aims to build resilient and inclusive frameworks to enhance of social protection programmes' coverage and effectiveness to deliver wider benefits to vulnerable groups.
We support governments and development partners with:
- Digital transformation for social protection: We provide advisory support focusing on digital governance and reforms aiming to promote inclusive and efficient social protection programmes, focusing on enabling systems to respond to crises and shocks. This includes advising on system interoperability and integration, setting up standards for data governance and interoperability, improving digital payment systems, and enhancing programme management, monitoring, and reporting capabilities.
- Management information systems, social registries and monitoring systems: Our experts assess user needs, and design, develop, operationalise, monitor, and test social protection management information systems. We analyse and provide expert advice to enhance the use of social registries and information systems used for social protection targeting, beneficiary management, and programme monitoring.
- Data innovation and Artificial Intelligence: We capitalise on innovations in data science to gain new insights into extreme poverty and its drivers. We develop innovative models and approaches to address drivers of poverty such as urbanization, climate shocks, temperature variability and conflict dynamics.
- Innovative approaches for social protection: We support cross-border knowledge exchange and innovative adaptive social protection strategies, ensuring that our solutions are not only cutting-edge but also contextually relevant and sustainable.
