Amanda Woomer

Dr. Amanda Woomer is a monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) practitioner focused on work at the intersection of environment, climate, conflict. and peace. Her thematic areas of expertise include environmental peacebuilding, climate security, nature-based solutions, and conflict sensitive natural resource management. 

She is the co-author of the recently published Toolkit on Monitoring and Evaluation of Environmental Peacebuilding and has worked with organizations such as the IOM, the Global Environment Facility, and the World Bank to implement good MEL practice for interventions that combine environmental and conflict-related objectives. 

Dr. Woomer has also lead or contributed to numerous evaluations, including for clients such as the Green Climate Fund, the Global Center on Adaptation, Conservation International, and the Geneva Peacebuilding Platform. She is passionate about accessible and participatory approaches that empower stakeholders.
