Arlette Campbell White

Arlette is a Senior Principal Consultant and Hub Lead, Health Service Delivery and Organisation, with OPM. She is currently the Programme Director for the UNAIDS Technical Support Mechanism through OPM as its implementing partner.

Arlette has over 30 years' experience in public health and development management, working extensively in HIV/AIDS, RMNCAH, gender, health systems strengthening, capacity building and strategic learning, strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation, institutional development, and research.

Her international development career has included the International Planned Parenthood Federation, the United Nations Population Fund in New York and Tanzania as Deputy Country Director, and the World Bank as Senior Population Specialist. She has more than 20 years' international experience as a senior consultant and in that time has worked for most UN agencies and several bilateral organizations. Her work has taken her to more than 60 countries across five regions, and she lived for several years in Pakistan, Poland, Tanzania, and the United States.  She has also led many consulting teams working largely in sub-Saharan Africa and Asia.

Arlette’s BA degree is in Economics and Politics (University of York), and she has a MSc in Medical Demography from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Her doctoral studies at the Jagiellonian University of Krakow focused on women’s childbearing decisions and the nexus between culture, politics, and religion. She is particularly interested in adolescent health, gender, governance and accountability, and health financing.
