Maryam Mirza

Maryam is an Assistant Consultant in our Education Practice. She holds a Master’s in International Politics from SOAS, and a BSc in Economics, Politics and International Relations from Royal Holloway, University of London. 

She has work experience in conducting primary and secondary research and written analysis for the delivery of advisory projects. She has previously worked in the areas of youth development, foreign policy, and food systems in Pakistan. Her specific areas of interest include youth development, non-formal education, and the present and future of work from an inclusive and gendered approach. 

Her publications include a policy brief on ‘Adopting Pakistan’s polio infrastructure for Covid-19 vaccine deliver’ and a first response on the ‘Government of Pakistan – Tehreek e Taliban negotiations’. She has been a scriptwriter and co-host for the podcast ‘The Audit’ which centres on understanding the Pakistan-US relationship. She has also contributed to news dailies, writing about social movements, identity making, and race in politics.
