Third-party monitoring of European Union funded projects in Pakistan
We are doing third-party monitoring of 34 ongoing projects across Pakistan. These are being implemented under the EU’s current multi-annual indicative programme.
Karin Seyfert leads OPM Europe team. She has been a senior consultant with OPM since 2014, with deep rooted expertise and track-record on social protection, humanitarian emergencies, migration, monitoring and evaluation. She has led large scale, flagship OPM programmes for European and UN agencies in Africa and the Middle East. Her humanitarian monitoring and evaluation work includes supporting UNHCR on a review of their global social protection strategy in education and child protection.

For the European Union, we are undertaking 15 evaluations covering 13 thematic areas across Pakistan.
This project helped to provide an evidence base for informed decision-making on social development policy in Oman.
Engaged in a large international network, we provided ad-hoc expert advice on social protection approaches to Covid-19 to donor agencies and countries on how to pivot their social protection work amidst the pandemic.
We assessed the quality, implementation, and emerging results of the three social protection strategies.
This project looked at the impact of the UNHCR’s ‘Tier 1’ cash transfers on negative coping mechanisms of Syrian refugees in Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt.
