The world is not just getting warmer, our climate is increasingly more variable too. How does this affect agriculture, industry, health, schools, and poverty levels? We dive into the data...
Ida Brzezinska is a Consultant in the Data Innovation team at Oxford Policy Management, specialising in quantitative impact evaluation methods and geo-spatial data science. Her research leverages new sources of ‘Big Data’, including remotely sensed climate data and satellite imagery, to analyse the impact of climatic shocks on socio-economic outcomes in low-and middle-income countries (LMICs). She is also leading work on Small Area Estimation of poverty using a combination of remotely sensed and survey data. Ida has experience with both experimental and non-experimental quantitative impact evaluation research designs, across a range of sectors, including evaluations of delivery of an animal health product in Tanzania and social protection programmes in Rwanda.
