Shamim brings over eight years of experience in programme design, implementation, and management within the development sector, with expertise in conducting environmental and social impact assessments. She is part of the Climate, Sustainability, and Resilience Practice at Oxford Policy Management (OPM), and her work focuses on programmes and projects related to sustainable energy, disaster risk management, and climate change. Shamim has demonstrated leadership as the Country Manager for OPM Tanzania for three years, and is an experienced project manager, skilled in monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions in various contexts and qualitative research. She has provided technical assistance to government institutions, the private sector, and development partners, including UNDP, UNECA, the World Bank, WFP, FCDO, and ENABEL.
Shamim holds an MSc in Environmental Sciences, Policy, and Management.
