Social care
The critical, but often neglected, role of social care services is becoming increasingly prominent within the development debate. In some countries, social care services are essentially non-existent. In others, traditional top-down approaches to service provision are outdated and out-of-step with international best practice.
We assess the appropriateness and capacity of existing social care systems, and design models for the assessment of need at national, local, and individual levels. We offer technical advice and support across social services development. This includes policy and strategy planning, building the capacity of state social care structures, and advising on the design of specific interventions.
